Alreddy Reddy was born Don Michael Horton Jr., and he is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. In his younger years, he faced trials and tribulations, but he didn’t allow those obstacles get in the way of his future endeavors. After Horton finished Fairfield High School, he went to Tennessee State University to pursue a career as a Architect Engineer.
Horton and some of his friends formed a music group called, Sump Nu. In a short period of time they became popular, and the group was very well known for winning talent shows. Unfortunately, the group split after three years, but that did not stop Horton, he continued to pursue music, and became a solo artist. He signed to Ras Valley Music Record Label, but after several years he ended his contract when he chose not to compromise.
In 2004, Horton lost his grandfather, and that was a terrible time in his life. Through the pain and hardships of that catastrophe he was able to find the Rock behind all of his success, GOD. From that point on, his name changed from Red Daddy to Reddy, and starting making “Life Changing Music.”
His first single that moved in the lives of many was, “Don’t Judge Me.” In 2006, he accepted his call into ministry and preached his first sermon. Since then Alreddy has been featured as a musical guest for Atlanta Live, and is a leader of one of the largest Christian youth movements in the nation. Recently, he has shared the stage with Deitrick Hadden, Marvin Sapp, Lisa McClendon, John Gray, and 21:03. The list goes on and on, and Alreddy Reddy is continuing to work for God by showing the Love of God to youth and young adults around the country.
