Music has always been Chino's passion since the age of 4. Chino was born down "The Bottom" West Philly and raised in North Philly "BadLands". Poverty is no big difference in either neighborhood. Born of Chinese/African American/Puerto Rican decent. This R&B/MC threat has performed in competitions all across the U.S. Having the opportunity to act in the Broadway play "The Jackie Wilson Story" As lead singer for The 70's group "The Platters" has ignited something in this unique artist. In the gospel section of his career, Chino has sung with a great number of acclaimed artists such as, Daryl Coley,Twinky Clarke,Vickie Winans, and a number of spanish/english choirs in the tri-state area. In 1996, Chino was drafted into the I.C.H camp (Inner City Hustlers) under the direction of Jimmy Da Saint. As the only R&B/MC artist in the group of 11 rappers, he had to hold his own. The camp included such artist as Roc-a-fella's own Oskino & Sparks, Ruff Ryders producer Black Key, NBA DJ DJNORAP, and mega producer Dj Mizz. Fast forward to 2001, Chino was the front man for a singing group managed byDonyell marshall. With the group, Chino has sung the star spangled banner for a number of NBA games, won competitions, and performed at a great number of celebrity events. After getting introduced to Roc-a-fella's CEO Jay-Z alongside his other I.C.H members, He knew that it was just a matter of time before He could rise from the rough section of "BADLANDS" North Philadelphia. This young artist continues to wow audiences worldwide when he's taking the stage. After getting signed to Henchmen Records in 2001, "under the direction of Tandy Weems" The group met Their label mate Miri-Ben-Ari "the hip-hop violinist. With Miri They've done a Sprite commercial, Exclusive radio interviews, and their music featured on various radio stations. With a song placed on Miri's freshman album, this consistant hit maker "Hook Master" They call him, is ready to make his mark as a great Songwriter/Artist/Producer under CertiFYD Music Group. Chino has produced and recorded with Papoose, Jackie-O, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Serius Jones, and Remy Ma, to name a few. Most Recent news, Chino has performed with Serius Jones for MTV. Recorded "Straight Stuntin" with Papoose for DJ Kay Slays Straight Stuntin Magazine, Continueously receiving heavy rotation on Hot 97 for the song as well. Wrote and recorded "Boss Status" for Rick Ross "Still Hustlin" Mixtape. Performed for Buffy The Body's Fashion show in Philadephia. As he continue to expand his horizons in the entertainment world, Chino juggles his career along side other forms of entertainment such as, Modeling and Acting. Landed a part last year in the Warner Bros blockbuster film "Iam Legend" with Will Smith. With International tours under his belt, credible work done in the industry, I think it's about time for this electrified artist to do what he was destined for.that is to reach the unreachable and present to the world.Chino Moy
