Glass Wolfe was formed in 1998 by vocalist / lyricist Maria Glass and keyboardist / composer / producer Philip Wolfe.
Maria Glass, originally from Rhode Island, is the vocal powerhouse and lyricist for the band. She has also written lyrics for Keith Emerson (ELP) and appeared in the movie Say Anything as well as on TV. Before forming GLASS WOLFE, she had played the local club circuit for several years with a Tribute to the females of classic rock as well as in her former band UV17.

Philip Wolfe is a veteran of the LA music scene and has played keyboards with WASP, KEEL, IMPELLITTERI (1 in Japan 1988), VINNIE VINCENT, XYZ, ROX DIAMOND, DRIVER, ANGEL, IAIN ASHLEY HERSEY, DHL, and ATTAKK. In 1992, he embarked on a Monsters of Rock tour with IRON MAIDEN and BLACK SABBATH, and later recorded sessions with many, many others. He appeared on MTVs Headbangers Ball with IMPELLITTERI, and on video discs in Japan with IMPELLITTERI and ROX DIAMOND. Philip also has several CD Rom sound libraries reviewed and advertized for many years in Keyboard magazine, Electronic Musician, Sound on Sound, and in the Pro Tools Developers Catalog. They can also be bought online at Greytsounds.com.
Their debut CD, GLASS WOLFE, was released in October 2001 and received reviews in international rock magazines and sold world wide.

Their second CD, PREDATOR, released in 2005, features many guest stars, including: Neil Citron (Steve Vai, Lana Lane), Ray Schenck (Hellion), Stuart Smith (The Sweet), Howie Simon (Jeff Scott Soto, Graham Bonnet), Stefan Svensson (Graham Bonnet), Swan Montgomery (Led Zepagain), Paul Daniels (Rox Diamond), as well as many others.
PREDATOR received a number of rave reviews internationally - The Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Norway, Serbia, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Spain, and Canada, among others. Philip was interviewed for an Italian webzine (www.slamrocks.com/glasswolfe_eng.htm), Maria was interviewed for a Norweigan webzine (Melodic Hard Rock Today) and a detailed interview with both Philip and Maria can be found in Metal Maidens, a webzine based in The Netherlands (http://www.metalmaidens.com/glasswolfe.htm) and in the Italian webzine Stereo Invaders (http://stereoinvaders.altervista.org/Interviste/glasswolfe.html). Maria & Phil also appeared on a live radio broadcast interview out of Quebec, Canada. Songs from PREDATOR have also received international airplay worldwide.
On their third offering, XOTICA, Maria and Phil continue to raise the bar on their writing and performing. XOTICA takes Glass Wolfe in a more progressive direction, yet still keeping it's hard rock/metal edge. The material is more adventurous, with historical epics ("1000 Ships" and "Helen of Troy" - based on the famous Greek story, "Queen of Tragedy" - based on the life of Marie Antoinette, and "Rubicon" - based on a famous battle fought by Julius Caeser), hard rock tunes and ballads. XOTICA also features great guest stars, including Rudy Sarzo (DIO, Whitesnake, Ozzy, Quiet Riot), Chris Slade (AC/DC, Asia), Alex Masi, Neil Citron, Paul Daniels and others. Philip's immense keyboard talents are showcased on this CD and Maria debuts her high range soprano voice on a number of songs. XOTICA also features the amazing artwork of Ed Unitsky and exceptional photography of Stephen Manley. Since it's release in March of 2009, XOTICA has received many great reviews in Europe, North and South America, as well as a number of interviews and airplay on over 200 internet and college radios stations worldwide.
