Girls Don't Want

Devochki Ne Hotyat (in eng = Girls Don't Want) is a girls band from Saint Petersburg, Russia. They define themselves as garage alco-romantic rock'n'roll.



The band formed in September of 2006. The girls started as mostly a way to have fun and get to know what it's like "to be a rock-n-roll star", none of the band had any musical experience at the time.



The band became known firstly through the internet. The girls recorded a promo 4-track EP and published it on their website and live journal pages, and their songs started being downloaded massively. This fact and also regular live gigs at popular clubs of the city brought "Girls Don't Want" to the attention of the press and the things went even better.



Being a young band the girls have already recorded the single "Po Klubtsam" (2007) and their First Album (2008). They perform each month in St. Petersburg and Moscow.and elsewhere!
