Giant Killa

ENG Giant Killa is a militant sound system specialised in roots, reggae, dub, conscious and early digital music that is based in Salerno, a seaside town in southern Italy. First dance is dated to july 2002, the sound was built since 2004. Founders of the crew were Daniele “Danny Kingston”, Rosario “Mr. Buddy”, Vincenzo “RgmN” and Domenico “Natty Doctor”. Danny Kingston began to listen and collect black music and rare grooves since late 90s, then he improved his skills in playing melodica, singing and producing riddim tracks with the support of a MIDI keyboard. Natty Doctor was fashinated by the early raggamuffin deejays and by the dub poetry and he follows in their footsteps when he selects music and sings.

Giant Killa greets and respects all good vibes promoters, all bass culture lovers and the whole reggae massive. Don't forget: Unity is the foundation for survival. The equipment of the sound is composed so:

Giant Killa è un progetto di diffusione sonora che dal 2002 coinvolge quattro ragazzi di Torrione, zona orientale di Salerno, animati dal desiderio di liberare spazi, all'interno della città e fuori di essa, e con l'intento di pulsare vibrazioni direttamente al cuore della gente. Nel 2004 Daniele “Danny Kingston”, Rosario “Mr. Buddy”, Vincenzo “RgmN” e Domenico “Natty Doctor” iniziano la costruzione del proprio sound system con il quale organizzano numerose dancehall sul territorio campano, ospitando praticamente tutte le realtà reggae / hip hop / dub della zona e non soltanto. Tra il 2007 e il 2008 l'interazione tra i componenti di realtà diverse ma molto vicine come Erbapipa Sound e Giant Killa ha datto vita al progetto MFD crew, che ha prodotto moltissime dancehall di qualità. Attualmente solo Danny Kingston e Natty D sono attivi nel progetto ed è in corso il completamento dell'impianto da 5 a 7 kw, la selezione gravita su un mix di roots, dub, early digital, strumentali, grooves ricercati e rarities, contornati da sirena, delay, una strumentazione vintage e naturalmente il valore aggiunto di un impianto autocostruito.a real musical shock.
