George Dickens & The Gospel Disciples George Dickens started singing with his three sons Anthony, George Jr. and Bruce when they were little boys. In the early 90s, they decided to call themselves George Dickens and The Gospel Disciples of Oak City, North Carolina. As time passed, they had an uncle and two cousins to join the group. George Dickens and The Gospel Disciples have performed with various well-known gospel artists. They also placed third in the 5th Annual Fall Gospel Classic held in Rocky Mount, North Carolina by Luther Barnes. The group independently recorded their first CD in 1994; their second release came out in 1998 and they also released a Christmas CD in 2000. George Dickens & The Gospel Disciples plans for the future is to keep God first and one day be one of the top quartet groups that God has blessed to carry his ministry throughout the world.
