Even if this is the OFFICIAL website, it only means that here are going to be announced CONFIRMED news and information abut Geordie's work. IT DOESN'T MEAN that Geordie is running this profile on his own, reading your messages and comments.

For all of you who like surprises, here comes one which can’t disappoint even the most sophisticated ones. If you weren’t pleased the last time, we hope that now you can be fully satisfied. Geordie releases his demos recorded completely on his own, for you, and again, AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD. He also thanks you for your comments about the last two released tracks Rolluber and Love Kills.

Because the number of advertised songs is limited we put on here only half of the tracks, the second half should be available next month.

Thank you all for your support and enjoy the demos.

As it has been promised, here we come with the exclusive tracks from Geordie's solo album. The tracks here are available for download, use and possible abuse (because we know you. ;) and therefore you don't get the final verses but only the unfinished copies. Which still should be enough for you to make your own image of Geordie's solo work.

The conspicuous singer is Danni McCormack and you can find her in 'Friends section'. On the album also works Benny Calvert and it is rumoured that Blaise Merino will also be joining the project.

We welcome and appreciate any opinion from you.

Enjoy!

Geordie's interview for BBC from 2003:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/manchester/music/2003/07/24/killing_interview.shtml

Geordie Walker (born Kevin Walker, 18 December 1958, in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England) is a post-punk guitarist, best known as a member of Killing Joke.

When he was fourteen his family moved south to Milton Keynes, 45 miles northwest of London. It was here that he acquired his nickname due to his north-eastern "Geordie" accent.

Walker moved to London to study architecture and became a founding member of Killing Joke in 1979 when he responded to an advertisement placed by the singer Jaz Coleman. He had never played in a band before. Walker and Coleman have been the only constant members of the group since.

Walker has also been a member of industrial metal supergroups Murder, Inc., The Damage Manual and Pigface.

Geordie is well known for playing golden hollow-bodied Gibson ES-295 (Electric Spanish) guitars, only produced between 1952 and 1957. These guitars, detuned by a tone to D-G-C-F-A-D since 1982's Revelations album, along with overdrive, chorus and reverb have shaped his distinctive sound.

Most famous for his grinding, hypnotic electric guitar work, he has also used acoustic guitars; sparingly on Outside the Gate (1988) and Pandemonium (1994), and surprisingly liberally on Democracy (1996).

He is noted for smoking cigarettes on stage, even in United States venues where smoking is prohibited.

Walker lives in Detroit with his wife and son, Atticus. During his recent work with Killing Joke, Hosannas from the Basements of Hell (2006), he has been based in Prague.
