"Coming off of a successful European tour, San Francisco's own Gentry Bronson, a keyboardist/singer/songwriter originally from Minnesota, has come up with a new release that highlights his incredible songwriting abilities. His self-titled EP showcases every side of his creative self; from a rollicking, furious side to an introspective, more sensitive shade, Bronson proves himself a complete artist. His influences come from acts as diverse as The Beatles, Mozart and Khachaturian, and his sound is a unique blend of these with a heaping of Ben Folds and Billy Joel along with a dose of Tom Waits and a kick of Steven Trask's Hedwig and the Angry Inch soundtrack to boot." - Melson Varsovia, Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion, January 2010

After winning three Northern California Songwriters Awards in 2000, Gentry formed the band The Night Watchmen, whom he led and released three records with from 2001 to 2005. The Night Watchmen developed a cult fan base and stayed on the top of the alternative music charts for months on MP3.com.

In 2004, Gentry went solo with the double release of his barebones acoustic record "Home", and his record of piano compositions "Tranquillo". Then, in 2006, he released an enviro-ambient record "Santa Fe Sky" (co-written with Dave Hoover), and immediately followed that with the epic 3-act concept record "No War" released in 2007. The single from "No War", 'Shine', was released on an Alternative Music Press compilation in 2007, and the record paved the way for 3 U.S. tours and 4 European tours.

In 2008, he released the single "Avond" (co-produced with Jesse Brewster), a English version of the classic Dutch song written by Boudewijn de Groot & Lennaert Nijgh, and Gentry immediately became the featured artist on Dutch Radio 2 and appeared on Amsterdam television program ATV5.

Known as a wild, emotional charged solo performer, who uses smashing back-up bands, his shows are filled with songs that range from soaring beauties to sweet soul-bearers to head-pounding piano punk. Always barefoot when he performs and records, after retiring his trademark fedora a few years ago, he continues to light pianos on fire around the world.

His new self-titled EP was released during his 'Graveyard Fever' tour of Europe in October & November 2009. The EP came out officially on December 1, 2009 and it's now available at iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, CDBaby & more.

Throughout his multiple indie CD releases, touring, and many benefit concerts, Gentry is an inspiring and original artist. After returned from a self-described tropical 'disappearance' he said, "I'll never do what you expect me to. I'm going to enjoy getting where I get to. And that is so good."
