Gary Cotton got his musical beginnings playing in bands throughout the Southwest. This ultimately led to a move to LA with his own band, and finally landed him in Nashville where he currently resides.
As a Nashville songwriter his songs have been recorded by numerous recording artists including Alan Jackson, Tracy Byrd, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Restless Heart, Rob Crosby, Mark Nessler, The Amazing Rhythm Aces and rock legend Bonnie Bramlett to name a few.
He has had six nationally charted singles in the country music market, and two nationally charted singles in the Contemporary Christian market. He currently has numerous songs being performed on the radio and the internet not only in the United States, but also in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Spain,Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
Gary is also an accomplished acoustic guitarist and has played on, and produced, numerous recording sessions.
