Bio.From the lanes of Central Village, Jamaica hails a diverse and gifted Roots, Reggae, Dancehall powerhouse, General Brains. a.k.a. G Brains, quickly became a favorite of a number of Jamaicas biggest sound systems; trading lyrical ability with the likes of Papa San, Peter Metro, Kelly Ranking, Beenie Man, Isiah Mentor and many more. .His big break came in 1985 when he toured the Unites States with Lees Unlimited, one of Jamaicas leading dancehall sound system. He has since rocked dancehalls everywhere and has earned a reputation of being a true Reggae veteran. His musical skills have influenced artistes such as Luciano in the early stages of his career. Getting his inspiration from his life and experiences in the streets, General Brains gives the message of awareness, hope, positive vibe and love in his music. Though his focus is upliftment of the youths, G Brains versatility is evident in his range of styles in his songs. He now re-emerges as a conscious DJ with an expanded repertoire of culturally positive lyrics, hardcore rhythms and a vibe so potent it commands you to dance. With his independent record label, Reggae House R&J Records, G Brains is set to bring back life, love and energy back in dancehall
