Gary Trenchard - Fusion, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Latin, Eastern, Western, Northern, Southern, Continental, Global, Country, Classical Musician - Drummer. I am a musician, painter, photographer, designer and enterprise architect. In high school I played jazz, classical and rock and roll and was a member of the Michigan Youth Symphony under the direction of Dr. William D. Revelli. I recieved a music scholarship to attend Adrian College. I have played with many jazz, rock and fusion bands including Southbound, XWay, Grooves, Papineau and Friends, Pan Fried Mojo and String Theory. I attended Berklee College of Music in the 70's and was lucky enough to study jazz drumming under Alan Dawson (Dave Brubeck's drummer) and Gary Chafee. I also enjoy motorcycles and freedom. I spend a good part of my time playing somehow and somewhere. There are no limits in life or music. Limits only exist in science and people's minds. Music is a fabric of the universe as represented in string theory. It is no accident that there is a mysterious attraction towards music that cannot be fully understood but certainly fully appreciated.PRINCIPAL ONE: There are no limits to what the human mind can do.PONDERINGS on the BIG Questions:1. Question: So . you are drummer . do you need a watch to keep time?Answer: Take some advice from the great jazz drummer and innovator, Jo Jones, a great timekeeper, who said you do not need a watch . remove it and you will find less stress. 4. Question: Can you make money in music?Answer: Drawing on the classical wisdom of Leonard Bernstein, yes, you can make money in music by selling band uniforms.
