V Gambino’s Bio



V Gambino was born and raised in Dorchester, Ma in one of the grittier sections of Boston. He was raised in a single parent home with his brother, sister and mother Belinda . Gambino’s role model has always his moms. She struggled but she did everything in her means to take care of her three kids. But her struggling is what made Gambino turn to the streets for a fast buck which eventually landed him in and out of juvenile detention.



Gambino’s first influence to get into music was his mother. She would sing everywhere at home, church, cookouts, job office parties, and friend’s weddings. She has an amazing voice but never strived to make a career out of it. He grew up listening to Gladis Knight, Arether Franklin, Cameo, Marvin Gaye and many more. During one of Gambino’s numerous stints in detention he found his love for hip hop from a group of kids sitting in a circle spitting freestyles. (At that time I had no idea how to rap but I jumped in the cipher anyway. I was the horrible but I been rapping ever since) that was in 1991!



What’s most distinct about Gambino’s style is his emotions. He pours his heart out, if the song is about being sweet to the ladies then u can tell he’s sincere and If he’s going at somebody then his anger and aggressions shows so stand clear. Gambino’s overall quality I would say is his subject matter he’s forever pushing the envelope on new styles of rapping, creative concepts and writing hooks ranging anywhere from Rap, R&B to Reggae. I wouldn’t say he’s a gangsta rapper and I wouldn’t say he’s a gentleman lets just say he’s a mixture of both



He pushes to bring something different to the game. Put Boston back on the map as far as being lyrical goes and bring his squad Bomboyz to the forefront



The Bomboyz have opened up for Young Buck, Remy Ma and Omillio Sparks. Recorded a track with Mr. Cheeks. Did shows For Terrence from 106 & park , DJ Envy and Murda Mamis . And preformed in numerous cities in and around mass, Such as Boston, Fall River , New Bedford, Fitchburg, Cambridge, Worchester and Brockton, Mass, Kingston, Pawtucket, Woonsocket and Providence, Rhode Island and Elizabeth New Jersey.



The Bomboyz are definitely A crew to lookout for with there animated dancehall hits, there so vivid streets tales and there ability to blend both into an incredible union.
