An effort between Rick, Herbal J and Alain V, began in Belgium. R. was known as guitarist and songwriter of a few local bands in '99 who asked Alan, a pianist , bassist and co-writer, resolved in 2000 to form a new Electronic group. Pooling their songwriting prowess, the core duo of Future Primitive would bring in outside collaborators whenever they so desired. Electronic gear would give creative freedoms to work outside the confines of a rigid group format. From the start, Rick & Alain, each responsible for some contemporary Jazz studies, struck up an instant rapport as a songwriting team. Throughout 2004, with other commitments to fulfill, polishing off new techniques and teaming up with producer & voltage freak Herbal J to record a few first songs. In September of 2005, we caught wind of electronic suspense. Armed with a modern-day visionary, began the first outside experiment. The first incarnation of results proved quite fruitful. we wrote the song, "Escape" during the night sessions, which appears on the demo album. As a group, F.P remains independent in the truest sense: having complete freedom and control, from co-producing and producing all the songs to commissioning the art and design work. With 'Partners in crime' and our fellow travelers set new standards for what is and is not possible in experimental music. Now, F.P has raised the stakes with a collection of original tunes that don't stretch the expressive boundaries of modern music, but shred them entirely. Composed/produced by Rick db & Herbal 'You've Killed' Me features the group's last forbidden city
as well as such potent, propulsive tracks like Partners in crime,Spiderbot.Hopefully a popular and critical groundswell might suggest a quick return to the studio.
