Unto Delicment they where given an earthly Status.Placed purfectly within reach of oneanother as they where,However not to discover themselves untill the Pyramids where
filled with a new sound and mission for those who bore the Freakish sign.The mission began some score years ago in a small daint club in Hoboken,NJ.on a cold Decembers eve.
Nowell Haskins,Nate Shider, Kieth Thomas,Gene Thomas,Derrik Davis,Greg"DAFFY" Fitz,Raymon Billups,Craig Staton.All Biologically Vibrating with speculation as to what this World Mission was to be about.As the band began to take root and come into its own,Personel began to revolve and Players started to fall into their prospective places.Meanwhile back in the Laboratory,Our Chief Engineer On the Switches,Mr Tim Shider,Began to cultivate the bands own unique sound and flavor.Tim being a helluva Bass player,Keyboardist in hos own right was able to come up with the sound thats definitive of FUNK-KIN.Tight Vocal arrangements coupled with Extreme Funk/Rock guitar topped with the Bump of the FUNK.Results are what the public and our fan base know as FUNK-KIN.
It was early in the onslaught of Rap music that FUNK-KIN would appear on the forefront of such a World Dominating Culture of Music we have cometo know as Hip Hop,
With Gary Shiders reputation as one of the baddest Vocalist and Vocal arrangers in the Industry then and Now,It was no coincidence he was called upon by FUNK enthusiest and Capital Records Producer extroidinare Ted Courrier to assist with the Ground breaking Rap trio THE BOOGIE BOYS.Ted new very well what the end results of Blending these two very different and Unique genres would do for any up and coming group.Gary immediately summoned into the studio the team he knew could deliver the Goods.His sometimes bandmate and Diva ,Mahlia Franklin and his very own FUNK-KIN(Nowell Haskins,Tim Shider,Nate Shider,Kevin Shider and Craig Statton)The end Results of these Vintage Sessions can be heard on the Captial Records release of THE BOOGIE BOYS"FLYGIRL"
It wasnt long after this the session work begand to pour in More Capital Records Projects
and the Actual Inception of This Awesome Band was soon to come to pass.

FUNK-KIN was running full steam ahead when landing a One off Record Placement Deal with KOOL & THE GANG."Having a song placed on legendary groups album was a Huge and Honarable accomplishment for all of us".You can find FUNK-KINS version of "FUNK-DONE-GONE HIP-HOP on The GANGLAND compilation C.D. by KOOL & THE GANG.
It was around this same time the group was approached by RADICAL FILM Production comp.to have a song Placed on the MOTO-X EXTREME SPORTS DVD,Titled THE HOLY GRAIL.The lead tack of the FUNK-KIN self titled C.D. on J-BIRD REC.
From all of this the band was ready and willing to venture across International waters and was welcomed to do so by the Dutch Funk Label,DISKY REC.As an Honorary guest and featured artist on the Dutch Holland based DISKY,FUNK-KIN was afforded the opportunity to particpate in Whats considered to be one Amsterdamn Hollands,Most exclusive and
reputible FUNK parties ,Held at the Famouse MELKWEG in the heart of the city.As an introduction to the Dutch Fan Base and Media this party served as a great luanching pad for the up coming album,DISKY REC.FUNK TO THE MAX pt 2.Nowell Haskins and then band Spokesperson and Confidant,Barbera Thomas where treated like royalty by their Dutch Friends and Music Partners.Marcel Visser,Katie,Bassist Extrodinare DODGE,who even without hesitation chose to Feature Nowell Haskins on his latest Recording project on the
JJ-Tracks label:DODGE"STARBASE INVASION".

GEORGE CLINTON & P-FUNK ALLSTARS ,HLDUH2BB4 YOUR ABSENT,"This had to be one of the greatest accomplishments for all of us,I mean our whole life we have looked up to GEORGE and hes just been a part of our family for so long.We really where suprised and at the same time proud to have him finally say to us,"Yall are Ready,you got it naturally Yall Just gotta keep at it now".FUNK-KIN is in the process of taking the band on the road and letting this FUNK-KIN sound and movement really cultivate and blossom into a full Blown International Genre and Lifestyle.Stank on All Yall.FUNK-KIN 4 MUTHA FUNK-KIN LIFE!!
