Toni Cottura begins a brand new EuroDance group titled FUN FACTORY. The first single that is released is called Fun Factory's Theme. This song was a head start for the upcoming success of the group whose members at the moment were: the vocalist Balja, an Italian dancer and rapper Smooth T. [Toni Cottura], a rapper Rod D [Rodney Hardison] from the USA, and a German dancer Steve [Stephan Browarezyk].

The first video was the Darth Vader Remix of Groove Me which still features the original singer Balja. She is the real singer of Fun Factory, featured on all the songs they ever recorded.

Balja leaves for an unknown reason, and is replaced by a French diva Marie Anett Mey. Fun Factory releases their first album Non Stop! The Album as well as another single Take Your Chance which has two video versions. Other singles that are released from this album are: Pain, and Close To You which also has two video versions.

Fun Factory releases their first real EP titled Close To You which is almost the same as their previous album that was released, but the tracklisting is a little different. Another single is released titled I Wanna B With U which was a huge hit all over Europe.

By this year Fun Factory gained so much success and released their very last album titled Fun-Tastic. Their hit singles from this album are: Doh Wah Diddy, Don't Go Away, Celebration. Fun Factory were featured on two charity projects, one called Love Message and another Children along with other EuroDance artists. Towards the end of 1996 Smooth T. (Toni Cottura) left the group to produce Euro-Rap for other artists leaving Marie Anett, Rod D, and Steve behind. The remaining three released another singe I Love You with a dedication to Toni (who was not in the music video) at the end of the video.

The group's very last single was released in March of 1997 titled Oh Yeah Yeah (I Like It). All Their Best album was released with all their greatest hits over the past few years of their success. Rod D has decided to leave to continue his career in a group called Garcia, while Marie Anett and Steve stayed and found a new rapper: Ray Horton to form a new group titled FUN AFFAIRS. They also sang some Fun Factory singles, but didn't last long and split; while Toni Cottura found BOOYA FAMILY and continued his career in Hip-Hop.

After the split of the original formation a new formation was founded. Annett Moller as the lead singer, rapper T Roc, lead singer/composer Al, and a dancer Alfonso joined together to continue the success of Fun Factory. First single Party With was released and was 1 for five weeks in row on the Japanese charts. Alfonso leaves Fun Factory

The trio released their first album in July titled Next Generation that sold over 100 000 copies in Japan and Europe. Another singles was released Sha-la-la-la-la.

-2002: After a long wait Fun Factory releases their second and last album titled ABC Of Music with their first single Tam Tam Taram Tam. On December 21st, 2002, Fun Factory performed their last concert in Frankfurt at the In Club Galery in Germany.

Fun Factory calls it quits to work on their own careers. On February 11th, the group took their last picture together.

Two years after the group called it quits, another group under the same name released a single titled Ilarie. After the release of their single, the group changed their group name to Buttons and haven't released anything new since then.

Ten years after the split of the original Fun Factory, a CD is released. Fun Factory! 10th Anniversary Greatest Hits has their greatest hits released. It is actually in fact the Asian version of the album All Their Best.

-2008: Rekardo, a German manager registered an official Fun Factory website for the new "The Third Generation" Fun Factory. Castings have been posted during the early January-March 2007. In May 2008, the official website finally opened, revealing the names of the 4 members. The first album titled Storm In My Brain (originally titled In The Heat Of The Night) and the single Fiesta De Samba will be released in July/August 2008.
