FROG PILOT

Frog Pilot although spending a great deal of time in the UK and North America are originally from Japan. The sound of their music has been heavily influenced by all these places, picking up the Brit punk sound, the North American alternative pop and blending it with a well rooted Japanese background.



The band was formed in 1997 and released their first demo in 1998. The demo received some attention from Sony Knockers Records and they went on to record several single releases as well as their Japanese release “A Verse Against”. After much success from a Japanese Tour they wanted to venture out and seek a wider fan base. Originally a trio the band moved to Toronto in 2003 only to join forces with Yasu the great guitar hero. They’ve hit the Toronto Music scene hard perfecting their explosive stage performance and developing a loyal fan base. The have been played not only on college radio but have had a great deal of attention from Toronto’s major alternative FM radio station 102.1 The Edge where they have been featured on shows such as Punkorama and The Indie hour.



Frog Pilot spent the better part of the last year recording for their new self titled EP. This will be their first release in North America and Europe. In addition, the song “A Call”, recorded in Japanese will be added to the EP and released in Japan only.



They will be returning to Japan at the end of the summer of 2007 where they plan to introduce themselves to the Japanese market once again. In early Fall the band will go back to the UK for a short tour of England, being featured in the Manchester festival “In The City”.
