A manifestation of mulit-cultural influences, FREAKDADDY was a band from La Puente, California, mixing its own style of rock, reggae and hip hop to create the signature FREAKDADDY sound. FREAKDADDY originally formed in 1997 and released their debut CD "Take Me to Eulita" in 1998. The CD enjoyed moderate success selling thousands of copies and the single "One Time Soup" received heavy rotation on Riverside, California's commercial radio station X103.9. At that time, FREAKDADDY had the pleasure of experiencing some national exposure, as the band was featured in Promo spots for a program on MTV. Additionally, the band recorded a video and theme track for the 1999 Winter X-Games.

After a brief hiatus, FREAKDADDY returned with their sophomore release "Fast Forward Rewind Play" in 2001 that showcased a heavier more mature sound yet still true to the band's melodic groove.

FREAKDADDY built loyal following on the West Coast performing with a number of great acts, such as Hed (pe), Slightly Stoopid, Hoobastank, Fishbone, Everlast, Alien Ant Farm, Save Ferris, The Urge, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Gregory Issacs, Weapon of Choice and Kottonmouth Kings to name a few.

Over the years the band featured the diverse talents of vocalists Jim Perkins and Alan Meade, bassist Darrell Drysen, guitarist Danny Contreras, drummer Felipe Valdovinos, Trumpet player Sean Billings, Trombone players Matt Woodworth and Doug Reid.
