DESCRIPTION:
1909-2009 - CENTENARIO DALLA SCOMPARSA DI FRANCISCO TARREGA EIXEA. Questa musica, fu composta da Francico Tàrrega Eixea nel 1889, originariamente dedicato ad una sua allieva di cui il compositore si era innamorato sotto il titolo di 'Improvisaciòn a Granada, Cantica Arabe'. Al rifiuto da parte della giovane verso l'amore del maestro, egli dedicò il suo capolavoro al suo amico Alfred Cottin, direttore all'epoca di un' orchestra, un ensemble di strumenti a plettro, molto diffuso all'epoca.

Alfred Cottin è nato a Parigi nel 1863. 
Non vi è non tanto conosciuto sulla sua vita. 
Era uno studente del chitarrista Jaime (Jacques) Bosch. 

Egli fu l'autore di un metodo per chitarra e composto alcuni brani per chitarra nel gusto di questo periodo di tempo, che non sono così difficili. 

Fu molto attivo nella vita musicale della città di Parigi. 
Come amico di Francisco Tarrega ha organizzato i suoi concerti a Parigi. Si racconta che Tarrega è stato intrattenuto dalla chitarra Cottins giocando molto bene. 

Thats il motivo per cui Alfred Cottin è forse oggi più noto come chitarrista al quale Tárrega dedicato "Recuerdos de la Alhambra", che porta la dedica "Hommage à l'artiste eminenti Alfred Cottin".
