Force Proph, born (William Usher Jr.) developed an interest in Hip Hop at an early age when he was exposed to his older brother’s rap group, the BDA boys. While watching them perform he was in awe of his brothers talents. At the age of 10, Force secretly began writing his own rhymes and playfully recited them often emulating other rappers that he was exposed to through B.E.T.

At the age of 16, he moved from his home of Bermuda to Halifax, Nova Scotia to complete his final year in high-school. Being in a new environment and having the time to work on his craft as a rap artist, he began taking the idea of doing songs seriously. One of his most notable moments while in high-school is when he was chilling with friends and was put on the phone to rock another house party while on speaker phone. He was elated to hear the listeners erupt.

In 2005, while at a party he met an up and coming Canadian artist, Littles Da General. The very next day Littles had Force in the studio for his first time and his abilities were already evident with a natural skill of riding any beat.

Fast forward to 2006 and Force had already put together his first mixtape, Jack & Prove, a compilation of original tracks and industry beats which showcased his potential. The feed back from his first efforts were very positive so he set out to hone his skills even more.

During 2007 and 2008 music had to take a backseat to his education. In May of 2007 he graduated cum laude receiving his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in accounting from Saint Mary’s University. Over the next year he would complete his educational requirements to becoming a Chartered Accountant, highlighted by passing the UFE, one of the world’s most difficult professional exams, on his first attempt.

Now with the time to push his music to higher heights, 2009 and beyond hopes to be promising for Force Proph. He has begun building a catalog of collaborations and features to help get his name out. Slated to release his second project “At the Drop of a Hat”, he knows that it’s definitely a force to be reckoned with. Stay on the look out for new music and keep up with Force.
