Emcee, Producer, and DJ, Science O'Mega is a true hip hop Renaissance man. He is an emcee first, everything else second. Known far and wide by all manner of promoters, deejays, booking agents, record labels, and artists - Science is increasingly being recognized as one of Hip Hop's most promising new talents. Coming from an unlikely hip hop scene, Knoxville Tennessee, has only made him more determined to bring it to the highest level.
He began writing his first rhymes in elementary school at the impressionable age of ten when rap artists such as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, & Rakim were foremost in respect across the Hip Hop community. Even from that early age he knew that hip hop would be his life - a hobby, a career, a state of being.
From those earliest days and on through the years that followed, Science O'Mega paid his dues and continued to evolve and hone his craft and style. In 1997 he and partner emcee Dynamic formed a rap duo called the Fluid Engineerz. It wasn't long before Fluid started showing up at rap contents, talent shows, and other venues all across the Knoxville area and building a name for themselves and their "abstract " style. To further strengthen the true-school hip hop experience, Science increasingly found himself behind the decks adding a second hip hop element to the mix. Soon the group was joined by a third and final emcee - Black Atticus - making the Fluid Engineerz a trio to be recokoned with.
In 2000, they began headlining small venues in Knoxville's old city and performing with other local hip hop artists. After four years of refining the Fluid Engineerz combined sound, the trio released New School Suspension Volume 1 in 2004, a 12 inch single "Love4This", "The Basics" featuring Cesar Comanche of the critically acclaimed North Carolina hip hop collective Justus League, and in 2006 recorded their most current work "New School Suspension Volume 2" featuring Cesar Comanche, Edgar Allen Floe, and Supastition. Fluid Engineerz are also the founders of the Hip Hop collective Heavy Rotation Dept including members from New York, Chicago, Illinois and Greenville, Tennessee.
