FLO Shysta began writing rhymes at age 8. He wanted to impress his peers and older cousins. Because he was so young, they would never let him record, they'd just tell him to go practice. That's what he did. After moving from Memphis TN to Whiteville TN, a small town on the outskirts of Memphis, he really started getting into the hip hop movement. At age 14 he featured on his older cousin Scareface Lil J's debut album, "Get a Load of Me". The album was a hood smash and everyone loved FLO's smooth and witty rhyme scheme. A year later he and his cousin formed a group "Da Hell Hole" along with two other hood friends. They dropped their first album, "Dark Side of the Game", on a independent label and it also was a hood classic. The group released 3 more albums before dismantaling because of label disputes. By this time FLO was 18 and ready for something different. He then moved to Murfreesboro, TN where he enrolled at MTSU. There he met a D.C. based producer named Keez. Keez had a differnt style which allowed FLO to be more creative with his lyrics and made him a better writer. They collaborated and dropped an independent album entitled "Only Time Will Tell". Due to lack of promotion the album didn't sell as they hoped but it got their foot in the door of the Nashville rap music scene. Now FLO is about to release his 6th album entitled "The Preparation". It is a collaboration with a Memphis based rapper, A-One. The album has production from Keez and D.drumz, a Nashville based producer. It will be released on FLO's independent label Posted Entertainment. This album is sure to be the one that opens all the doors for him and his associates, "so don't get left behind", FLO says.
