What’s in a name? In the case of Flavio Monopoli — apart from just a load of syllables — it’s the reputation he has developed from working with some of the best talent around to create fresh, vibrant and listener-friendly music. After many years as an active presence in the Canadian music industry, both in performance and behind the scenes, Flavio created Monopoli Music (M2) to fulfill his vision of working collaboratively with unique artists to craft their sound into authentic, accessible music. Flavio has had the good fortune to collaborate with some stellar talent — many of the most skilled and innovative musicians in Canada and the U.S. — to send some of this decade’s most interesting and original sounds into the airwaves: from Pop hipsters Velour 3, Indie darlings The Elusive Project X, Punk banshee Ani Kyd, Emo kids Fake Reality, Pop-Rock trio Sonic, jazzy songstress Marianne Baker, up and coming Hip-Hop artist Latte D. Kyd, Barrelhouse Blues performer Suzanne Brown featuring Julian Fauth and Wayne Charles, and Electro-pop TUIAS featuring ex-Crole Pope bassist Jungle L.



Flavio’s most recent projects include the recording and production of a CD of classical piano compositions performed by Derek Yaple-Schobert and a new EP by rock band Fake Reality - Listen for gems like "Deeper Further ".
