Five Will Die

Established in February 2005, Fivewilldie began life with its three founding members scanning the nether regions of time, space and schizophrenia for a musical landscape that felt right for their own personal and musical well being.

Within a year, many energetic and sweaty gigs helped the band establish themselves on the local circuit as a band to be reckoned with. Two worthy souls came and went, contributing to a hectic gigging schedule before being replaced by an Ogre on vox, followed by a young alcoholic genius on bass.
A more expansive and intense gigging schedule followed helping this line-up form an incredibly tight bond. In November 2006, thoughts and songs were put to a 4 track demo, entitled “Year of the Dead”. The number of shows increased, as did the bands ambition.
Further tours were played, including sporadic visits to the nether regions of their Island, and an incredibly eventful tour of Poland. Fivewilldie continued with their hard working and gigging ethic right through to August 2008, when a 9 track elephantine effort called “Slung from a Tree” was recorded. It was released on Halloween at the place of its birth – An Cruiscin Lan.
High profile shows followed, along with a successful drunken introduction to the Uk and a naked encounter with Mastodon. Fivewilldie have played with countless bands, and have sized up to the likes Mastodon, Panic Cell, Raging Speedhorn, Architects, Corrupt Absolute, Napalm Death and numberous great, unsung Irish and Uk acts.
Capable of mentally shifting anyone less than 9stone, Fivewilldie are a must see live band. The future is looking good, and hopefully will see the band evolve beyond their means into a force beyond their ambition. Fivewilldie play very fucking heavy….
