First In Space

First In Space is a three piece rock & roll band from Youngstown, OH consisting of Johnny (vocals, guitar), Dolus (vocals, guitar), Mikey (bass) and Beau (drums). Both Johnny and Dolus write the songs. They've been bashing it out in bars, clubs, and small venues since 2006. After a few lineup changes, the band is now a four piece.
After self releasing their first album in 2007 the band played from Chicago to NYC in support of it. In late 2008 the band returned to the studio to begin work on their second album. During this time Halogen Records out of Vermont re-released their first album online which garnered them new fans(?). Much of 2009 was spent recording their new album and in the Fall of 2009 the band released 'Geronimo' to rave reviews and much better sales than the first album. The band decided to release the album themselves with the help of some online record stores including Not Lame Records and Kool Kat Musik.
The band toured regionally in late 2009 and in early 2010. Not Lame Records named 'Geronimo' the 8 album of the year for 2009 and several other critics put it on their top albums of the year lists for 2009. Plastico Elastico, an FM radio show out of Madrid, Spain placed 'When I Was Young' on the top songs of 2009 list. The band is planning shows for the fall of 2010 and will be working on some new material this summer. The band plans to start recording some new songs and hopes to have a new album/EP/7 inch out in the winter.
