“Hard work”, “dedication” and “integrity” are terms which are often overused in the world of independent music. However, in regards to Northern California’s Final Summation, no three terms could be more fitting.

FINAL SUMMATION has spent the last 10 years traveling the road making music and earning fans. They have proven themselves as one of the hardest working bands in music today. The band learned early on that not every road traveled would be fruitful but were always worth taking. That often times they would be met with adversity and hardship, that the road would often if not always be bumpy. They have embraced their fate and have pushed ever forward.

FINAL SUMMATION has been determined to make a mark on the vast landscape of what is called punk rock; bringing a passion and integrity not often seen to what they do on and off stage. Integrity is a key element to this group of musicians, integrity to their music, live performance to the fans and each other.

The music that FINAL SUMMATION play, blends the best elements of music from the last 50 years Cash to the Clash, combined with poignant political, social, historical and life images conjured up lyrically. If you give them a chance they might just teach you something.

Over the last decade FINAL SUMMATION has released a self-released “United Yet Divided” in 2000, “Hope Never Dies” in 2002, “The Hand-Out E.P.” in 2003, and what many Northern California punk rock music fans called the best independent release of 2005, “To Progress or To Fade”. Final Summation also made their presence known on a variety of highly notable compilations such as “The Scratch Magazine Warped Tour Sampler” in 2004, “The Warped Tour DIY Stage Compilation” in 2005, “The Backyard City Rockers 4” in 2007, and “The Rock n Roll Threeway” in 2007. Many noting that contributions from Final Summation were the stronger of the songs included. In 2008, Final Summation released the long-awaited full-length “A New Approach” on Smelvis Records. This CD contains 14 blistering tracks which have been live favorites for years and is considered by several Sacramento CA music journalists as the best punk rock release of 2008.

They have done 4 National Tours, 5 Mid-West Tours, countless West-Coast Tours, and numerous “mini-tours” within a matter of 5 years Final Summation has done more than enough to earn their “road stripes” as one of the hardest touring bands to ever come out of Northern California. Playing with bands like The U.S. Bombs, The Vibrators, Cobra Skulls, Broadway Calls, Civet, Flatfoot 56, Circle Jerks, Crime in Stereo, GBH, Time Again, The Generators, The Hollowpoints, Left Alone, The River City Rebels, Street Dogs, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Real McKenzies, The Business & Subhumans…among others.

2010 sees FINAL SUMMATION embarking on yet another North American Tour and for the first time a Canadian & European Tour. The band has self released a 7” and working on material for a new full length. Often milestones like these are never met, for Final Summation there just one of many they have crossed on the long journey started back in 2000. They are a band with whom “hard work” is found commonplace. They are a band with whom “dedication” is without question. They are a band with whom “integrity” is their building block.
