Comprised of a group of best mates (including brother and sister), Figure6 are causing a stir in the British music industry, with their eclectic style and unnervingly evocative lyrics.

Ever since they were old enough to sing and hold instruments they've been making music and forming bands of varying distinction. Together they've experienced the good times and the bad but it's that all-consuming love for music that has seen them mature and develop into who they are today.

Rebekah and Drew's roots are in Devon, but it wasn't until they all hooked up in London that the tunes really started to flow. The siblings continued writing songs together acoustically and after some time they formed the band as it is today and things really started to motor.

The five of them started to produce some sensational tracks which subsequently inspired others to get involved, mates who felt that they could contribute in some way by doing their bit.

After a year of different people joining/leaving/coming back we finally had it what we like to call the collective', a group of up and coming professionals in their fields of work all striving to push each other forwards.

The 'Sixth Figure', so to speak, is a culmination of all the people who have been championing and helping us. Everyone who believes in it.

So then there were 6. Figure6.

It's not obvious at first as to where the band have drawn inspiration from, the fact is each band member has been groomed on music that differs immensely. Both Drew and Tim were raised on a diet of choral and classical music whilst at school and university. Subsequently both have made the transition to pop band with the help of greats such as U2 and Fleetwood Mac. From an early age Rebekah had been working her own unique writing style and respect of artists, such as Tori Amos and Sting, helped to develop her skills and push the boundaries further. Both Ad and James have spent much of their time building repertoire from Red Hot Chili Pepper riffs and Incubus beats, both searching for a better rhythm.

Their originality will remain without question from producing demos, to styling their videos, to creating their website graphics they've done it all on their own, without the usual funding or backing of big bucks, just a little help from their friends.

They all confess they love to gig and their audiences are growing rapidly. It's an organic collaboration and their authenticity lends gravitas to their live performances.

Inspired by their nights of partying together and their years of writing and rehearsing, the bond they share is undeniable. There's an aura of unity about them that's admirable and heartfelt in songs like Say you don't mean it'

Figure6: We've now got the perfect set upmusical love!

They'd all been searching for their own sounds, but then they all started walking in the same direction, with sensational results. Many in the know agree that they have that certain je ne sais quoi', something money can't create, which leaves them destined for greatness.
