Ney Faustini's music trajectory spreads itself throughout the most varied forms of electronic music and counts numerous participations in crucial moments of its history in Brazil. This paulistano (São Paulo native) started his path into the world of music in 1999, through a overwhelming passion for Drum & Bass. It was during that golden age of Brazilian Drum & Bass that Ney built up his reputation as a skilled DJ, owner of an unique technique and careful in his selection, playing at some of the main D&B events in Brazil for more than 10 years.
However, the passion for music itself is always expressed in the most varied and intense ways in untamed souls, those who do not tolerate restrictions or even attach themselves to labels, trends or styles. This is also Ney Faustini's case, which is proved at the moment when we listen carefully to each one of his House tracks and sets, where he shows some of his best qualities as a DJ and producer. Abilities that could be witnessed by the public from places of undeniably high demands in musical quality, parties that have been a solid reference in the restricted calendar of House Music in São Paulo like Freak Chic at D-Edge, In The House at Pacha and clubs like Lov.e, Clash and Vegas, among others.
As a producer, Ney Faustini started around 2004 alongside his D&B partner Bungle, releasing a couple of singles on english labels Nu Directions and Jerona Fruits. On his solo work, he has released in 2010 his first deep house EP on one of the most respected digital labels in Brazil, Conteudo Records.
Therefore, to say that Ney is an eclectic DJ and producer would be simplifying something that is an essential part of his own artistic identity. Hiding the very best thing he has to offer and makes him stand out from the rest. And exactly in this so diversified aspect of his approach resides the singular talent that makes him what he is: a music creator, above all, and not merely a trend seeker.
