Given the overwhelming success of the Southern Rap phenomenon in the latest chapter of Hip-Hop history, remarkably, the Carolinas has lacked the recognition that its surrounding neighbors have enjoyed. Despite being an area with a historic legacy of musical talent, the streets of the Carolinas have not had a voice that accurately reports the tragedies, the triumphs, and the aspirations of Carolinian Hustlers to their southern brethren and the world. In the tradition of celebrated rap duos such as Mobb Deep, Eightball & MJG, UGK, and Outkast, the Carolinas have been blessed with a group that will give a frontline report to the industry detailing the struggles of gangsters nationwide. Writer’s Block Music Group proudly presents to the world recording artists Faceman the Don and K-Caddy aka Cadallac, collectively known as Face & Caddy.

Face & Caddy were brought together through a story scripted by divinity. Despite originating from diverse regions, Faceman (from Durham, N.C.) and Cadallac ( from Plymouth, N.C.) immediately clicked through a chance meeting once Cadallac relocated to Durham. Although both individuals were accomplished songwriters and rappers in their own right, no one could deny the potential of a union linking these two promising talents. Then known as 2Trill, Face & Caddy soon recorded their first song titled “Bull City Symbol” in 2002, and shortly thereafter landed their first deal with Lil’ Stoney Entertainment. Face & Caddy developed rapidly and by 2004, the group had moved on to Top Gun Entertainment. During this evolutionary phase, Face & Caddy (2Trill) acquired invaluable stage experience by performing at a multitude of venues particularly gaining popularity across the eastern seaboard of the Carolinas. Due to the expanding profile of the duo, Face & Caddy attracted the interest of the production powerhouse, Writers Block Music Group. Having the industry experience of working with established artists from a number of labels such as Disturbing The Peace and G-Unit, Writer’s Block understood the structure and polish necessary to elevate the act to the next level. Upon signing to Writer’s Block Music Group in 2006, Face & Caddy have worked diligently to continue to advance the sound of their music while being the hood stars of their hometown.

The music of Face & Caddy has been described by one music industry A&R as “true country boy experiences with classic rap lyricism.” Their signature sound is powered by Cadallac’s infectious gritty tone and articulate flows and contains the perfect contrast with Faceman’s tangible focus, ample self-confidence, and a vintage story-telling style. With a chemistry enjoyed only by their legendary group influences (Outkast, Mobb Deep, and Wu-Tang), Face & Caddy also apply the passionate delivery and lyrical dexterity showcased by such accomplished MCs as Ice Cube, The Notorious B.I.G., Slick Rick, Eminem, and Tupac. With such a potent combination of characteristics, the music of Face & Caddy bends the stereotypes of simplicity associated with southern Hip-Hop.

The vision of Face & Caddy is aggressively on landing a major-label deal in the near future. Having already attracted the interest of industry personnel associated with Atlantic Records, Universal Records, and Interscope Records, Face & Caddy are working tirelessly in the studio to ensure their industry stature and musical legacy. Featuring a multi-platinum ambition and star-status swagger, Face & Caddy are destined for greatness.
