Slider & Expose have been vinyl junkies since the early nineties with influences ranging from old skool hip hop, acid house and the rave scene. As the scene took different directions they were drawn towards the emerging jungle sound of 93/94. They chose to stick with that sound and its many progressions through to the drum & bass we know today.

Many nights were attended to get a fix of breakbeats and basslines, and the boys were regularly seen getting their strut on at the welly, new horizons and various nights down south.

As time went by they took the DJ side of things a bit more seriously and Expose bagged his first gig in at the legendary Room on a Tuesday night in November 1995. Full of cold, high on benylin, beer and smoke he bagged the last slot. After the 3 hours of house music that had came before him he dropped his first tune to a less than eager crowd! One hour later and the floor was rammed, smiles all round, job well done!

They made appearances at a few nights over the following couple of years and the decision was made to run their own. Lost in bass was born and began upstairs at the Haworth Arms in 1999 before moving to the Metro bar then later Humberside University. It was here that they perfected their craft and bookings followed at various nights. Over the years they have held residencies at numerous clubs regularly playing at Future Methods in the process. They have featured alongside the likes of Grooverider, Doc Scott, Total Science, Scratch Perverts, Hidden Agenda, Marcus Intalex, L Double, Dylan, Stomp & Weaver, TC1, Digital, A.I.

They are residents and co-promoters of the monthly Dust nights in Hull.
