"The History & How it Went Down"

For many people, New Jersey is nothing more than fist pumping, strange accents, and fake tans. It’s a different story for the four guys of Exit 4 who see New Jersey as home, paying homage by naming the band after their hometown of Cherry Hill’s exit on the Jersey Turnpike, Exit 4.

After five years of playing together, vocalist Nick Saraceni and guitarist Dameon DeBose joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Brian Fredericks. Soon after, a line-up change brought on new drummer Steve-O, completing their current line-up. The power pop foursome is eager to step into the national spotlight after building a solid reputation within their home state.

With over 9,000 copies of their first EP, The California EP, distributed for free to anyone willing to listen, the guys ventured to the West coast to record their first full length album, An Ordinary Tragedy, in early 2008. Their full length album was released in late 2008 and produced by two of Exit 4’s musical inspirations, Chris Jay and Aaron Goldberg of Army Of Freshmen.

Exit 4 has found a niche in an over crowded market by creating simple songs about complex emotions that are not only catchy, but relatable to anyone that listens. To match their contagious vocal harmonies, their instrumentals feature infectious guitar hooks and thundering rhythm sections that are irresistible to the ears.

The combination of over three hundred and fifty nationwide shows, over 4,000,000 song plays on their myspace page, and catchy songs such as “Your Eyes” and “When We Get There,” it’s easy to see Exit 4 will be a big player in the music arena for years to come.

Absolutepunk- US

"Exit4 is composed of an avalanche of pop hooks over swirling guitar lines. Any label willing to give these guys a bigger budget to spend on production would surely have a new hit on their hands!"

Black Velvet Magazine- UK

"If you’re a fan of bouncy pop punk tunes you’ll have no trouble going a little nuts to the likes of ‘When I Get There’ and ‘Three Cheers’ on An Ordinary Tragedy."

Philadelphia at Home - US

"It’s that hooky, powerful guitar sound, combined with huge drums and very mature sounding vocals.Exit4 possesses that certain something."

Hardrock Heaven - US

"The real tragedy is that Exit4 isn't on the Billboard charts yet!"
