Evolve is a grassroots festival that has grown to become a showcase

for music, environmental issues; and a celebration of the beauty that

is uniquely Maritime. It is entirely dedicated to sustainable

environmental stewardship; the largest festival of its kind in Canada.

Thousands will enjoy, a significant percentage of which will travel

from outside the province to enjoy three days of great music from over

40 different acts on multiple stages.

Evolve strives to present the best musical performances of the summer,

and this year is no exception. With new favourites and old, we will

dance ourselves across the musical spectrum --from rock to jazz to

funk, from world music, to hip hop, to electronica, and back again.

EVOLVE is also the largest "green" festival in Canada. In 2005, EVOLVE powered several stages on low-emission Bio-Diesel (vegetable oil), employed solar and wind power on-site and held demonstrations of alternative energy generation in its Awareness Village. EVOLVE proudly maintains an ambitious event recycling and composting program on-site, and favors 100% post consumer recycled chlorine-free paper for its marketing materials.

This year's EVOLVE will feature over 35 workshops and activities in the popular Awareness Village, offering everything from yoga to fire spinning, as well as the Wee Wild Ones kids zone and another installment of its Independent Film Series.
