Evelynne is a four piece emo-rock band hailing from Prague, Czech Republic. They originally formed in October 2005 however they have been playing in this formation since November 2008 after changing their bass player. In the beginning, the band spent all free time they had rehearsing and writing new songs.
Evelynne came out to play their first gig in January 2007 and the band has been concerting a lot eversince. In spite of short existence of the band, Evelynne have played around 40 shows in Prague area and also elsewhere in Czech Republic. After a short period of time, Evelynne got to a subconsciousness in the local scene and gained a large following in the audience.
Music of Evelynne represents a very powerful mix of emo-rock, pop-punk and hardcore which is completed with deeply emotional lyrics. Evelynne can be described by sharp guitars of Eddie and Haby, Eddie's high feelingful lead vocal, Haby's maniacal screamo, Mejla's loud thundering bass and Jono's insane drums with a double bass pedal.
So far Evelynne have been supporting such foreign bands like Airway (IT), Fonzie (POR), Blank Promise (GER), The Flying Windmill (GER), The Jays (UK), Flippin Beans (FIN), Rentokill (AUS), From Our Hands (SK) and other.
In the winter of 2008 Evelynne recorded their first demo containing two songs called Autumn Serenade (available on t-zones.cz) and Dancing in the Moonlight. The band headed to the studio to record its first single called My Downfall in June. This song represents the way Evelynne want to take in the future because it is definitely the kind of music all Evelynne boys love and would like to play.
Evelynne's biggest success is the triumph in band contest USSF 2008 which gave the band the opportunity to play on Czech Republic largest summer music festival Rock for People. Nowadays the band is preparing a new songs for its first EP album and hope that it will please ears and hearts of their fans either on the stage or in their mp3 players.
