HEY ETC FANS! Escaping the Crowd is working on new projects which include the formation of a couple of new bands! We will no longer be playing as Escaping the Crowd but are very excited to be taking our music to a new level. We want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who encouraged and supported us for the last year and a half. We will all still be individually available to you if you have need of a band for a concert or leading worship. Stay tuned for announcements that will let you know all about our new music, projects and bands. BAND BIO-----------------------------------------------------------------------

STYLE:--------



Escaping the Crowd is a Christian Band that possesses a unique sound as they present a fresh, energetic message that encourages listeners to ”escape the trap of following the crowd”. Their style can be described as entertaining, melodic piano rock likened to Mae, Reliant K and Copeland. Their original songs include worship songs such as “Rescued”, light hearted songs about life such as “Here to Stay” and moving songs such as “The Second Last Dance” about a soldier going to war to defend our country.----------------------------------------------------------------------------

ABOUT THE BAND MEMBERS:-----------



Formed in the summer of 2007, this group of mostly high school aged musicians has written positive, upbeat and thoughtful songs with depth beyond their years. They are an unusually dedicated group of young people ranging from age 15 to 19. Hudson Hancock (15) and Rozzie Hancock (16), siblings, provide songwriting and vocals with Hudson on rhythm guitar and Rozzie board. The band is rounded out with Chase Campbell (15) on bass, David Scalf (17) on electric guitar, James Earle (19) on electric guitar and Tyler Shedd (17)on drums. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------



MINISTRY:----------



All members of Escaping the Crowd are from ministry families and are involved weekly in worship teams at their respective churches. They are a standout among young people wherever they go due to their faith and leadership. As role models, they hope to inspire young people to enjoy their youth while staying true to godly values. Their purpose is to use the tools and gifts God has given them to help instill a passion for Christ in their generation. Escaping the Crowd will continue to impact young people in very positive ways as their band members and their music matures. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------



ACCOMPLISHMENTS:---------------



Escaping the Crowd has spent the past year performing in Metro Atlanta teen concert venues and church youth concerts while they hone their songwriting and performance skills. In the fall of 2007 they won the Shoutfest ‘07 Battle of the Bands in Simpsonville, South Carolina. They advanced to the final round and competed in Nashville, Tennessee for recording contract on January 17th and 18th 2008 where they placed in the top 5. They are very excited to have won a free recording of one song with Producer Barry Blair in Nashville. They have recorded an 11 song demo which demonstrates their versatility. With supportive families and its members being involved in non-traditional high school education, they are ready for whatever God may bring their way; potential road trips and all.
