Erythuria was officially formed as a brutal death metal band in June 2003 after several changes in both line-up and style. The band finally settled down with a stable line-up consisting of: Scott Wood (vocals), Andrew 'Xiby' Sciberras (guitars), Mark Debono (bass) and Max Vassallo (Ex- Abysmal Torment) on drums.

Several songs were written and the roots of Erythuria started taking shape. However, in the summer of 03 Mark Debono left the band for personal reasons. With a bassist missing from the band Scott decided to take up the empty post. Erythuria also felt the need to improve their sound and musicianship and thus John Azzopardi joined the band as a second guitarist in winter 2004. Thanks to John's addition to the band Erythuria began writing new material with a more technical outlook, never excluding the aggressiveness, technique and groove of modern brutal death metal. After John, another addition was made to the band this time filling the empty post of vocals. Warren Vella took up this position who later had to depart his duties due to personal reasons. Due to this unfortunate event, Scott started doing vocals and Max joined in the grunts as back up. Things went smoothly for a whole winter and Erythuria established itself within the scene firmly (though having not played out of the garage).

In the summer of 2005 things took another great turn as Melchior Borg (vox: Beheaded, ex Despised) was also keen to join Erythuria. With Scott concentrating now solely on bass, Melchior is now the main vocalist with Max still aiding on back up.

After lots of hard work Erythuria finally played live in December 05 alongside local death metal pioneer's Beheaded. This gig was a great succes which was followed by a number of other well received gigs throughout the following year.

Unfortunately in the begining of October 06 bassist Scott Wood had to abandon his position as bass to pursue a career abroad. He was quickly replaced by Thy Legion guitarist Shaun McCarthy who worked extremely hard to make up lost time and get in track for the recording which took place in November 06.

Their debut MCD entitled " Annihilate to Repent " was launched on the 5th October at Poxx Bar Paceville alongside 2 local acts. The well known Abysmal Torment and first timers Putrid Birth. This gig was a great success and Erythuria would like to thank whole-heartedly all the people who showed up. Special thanks goes out to those who purchased the merchandise and left us the great comments. Thanks again. Erythuria are now seeking out labels to help them for the future.
