Chicago's Female Owned Record Label “Brick Game Entertainment” has sprouted by the accredited platinum artist and Chi-town native Eryka Kane, also known as “Ms. Kane”, Twista’s former girlfriend and rap prot�g�. Eryka not only has her own record label to show now, but also brings to us her debut album "Diesel”, a gritty, hardcore album, which displays Eryka’s ability to hang with the big boys. She spits lyrics over hard-hitting bass melodies and is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Nikki Gar-bage mania. Eryka Kane is the true definition of self-made. She never has had any man write for her or manufacture her ideas. She is the first female Jay Z/ 50 cent type persona that the Hip-Hop world has seen since Queen Latifah—and coincidentally she kind of resembles the Queen with her high cheekbones, crescent eyes and caramel complexion. Eryka is real, her lyrics are heart felt and her pain is heard through her delivery. Eryka grew up in the Wild Hundreds and hung out on 106th and Eggleston, a block which seemed to attract gunfire, raids, trap boys, murder and money, Eryka began rapping at the age of 11. She was discovered on this very block by a hustler interested in investing in a rap artist. Eryka would spend day and night writing and battling to win her shot to be heard nationally. The man who discovered Eryka soon put her in the studio to cut a demo; there she would be discovered by Twista, a local rapper who had made noise some years ago with his first album released on Loud Records. Twista was one of the first rappers to come out of Chicago. At this time Twista was working on his Album Adrenaline Rush (1997 Atlantic Records), he was looking for a female to feature on what would become the biggest classic of his career "Get It Wet". Eryka was chosen over the Brat and several other local female artists for the collaboration. Why was Eryka chosen over everyone else? Twista proclaimed, "Eryka was the only one who could write her own verse and had a marketable look". Eryka never had it easy, she carried her own weight and became a platinum artist when sales of "Get It Wet" and the Adrenaline Rush Album reached whopping 1,000,000 sold. She went on to assist Twista in beginning his own record company, Legit Ballin Records. Eryka, Twista and the other Legit Ballas would go on to enjoy sales of 750,000 records sold independently.
