I've been playing guitar since I was young. I remember watching my dad play guitar growing up and thinking it was the most amazing thing in the world. From watching him play and sitting in on guitar circles whenever possible I slowly began to learn guitar for myself. In the years since jamming with my friends in the guitar circles i've enjoyed the pleasures of working with many talented musicians in various projects. Through these groups i've developed an eclectic playing style that lends from the blues, jazz, folk, funk and fusion.

While playing my acoustic I tend to be more conceptual with my music. I like to let a few chords be the backdrop to the lyrics. I like playing acoustic because it feels more organic at times. It's easier to relate with people it seems when you have an acoustic in your arms. I mostly do all my writing on an acoustic.

Not to say that I don't love playing electric :) When I do jam on the electric guitar it is with the Galactic Sherpas. A Funk/Fussion/Jam band based out of Boyne City Michigan that tickles my jam bone every time. In the Galactic Sherpas I am able to focus on my guitar playing style and try to communicate it to everyone who listens. Our goal in the Galactic Sherpas is to play fun grooving music that makes people feel good and challenges us musically every time. Heavily influenced by improvisational jazz, funk and jam bands; the Galactic Sherpas are my outlet for when I need to play what I'm feeling on the guitar.

Between my acoustic music and my work with the Galactic Sherpas I have a lot of music in my life to enjoy. I am thankful for being able to pick up my guitar and play. I hope you enjoy the music. ~peace
