A fusing of musical languages from early influences in hip-hop, R&B, and latin with a deepened interest in jazz and various African, Indian and European classical
forms, have directed Eriks style. Erik has been graced with a rich musical family lineage. His great grandfather, Juan Morel Campos, is the illustrious Puerto Rican classical composer, best known as the Father of the Danza. His grandfather, Manolin Morel Campos was a noted New York musician and bandleader of Latin music, his father is a professional musician/arranger and trumpeter, and his mother, a composer
and singer. Erik has worked with Kanye West, Paper Soldiers sound Track(Rocafella Records),Kieth Murry, Young Stef, Dujeous,Equalibrium,Voyce, Lucian Ban&Alex Harding Quintet,MMG Orchestra,Ray Santos,Bruce Purse,Boys Harbor Orchestra and many more. He has studied with jazz greats such as Reggie Workman,Charles tolliver,James Spalding, Cecil Bridgwater and others. Erik's mission is to express love through music and bring cultures together through the fusion of musical styles.
