Ex-vocalista do grupo Penélope. Lançou o seu primeiro disco SOLO por TocaDiscos/WEA Music em 2009. Gravado no lendário estúdio Toca do Bandido, produzido por Carlos Eduardo Miranda, Constança Scofield e Tomás Magno o disco entrou na lista dos melhores do ano do jornal "O Globo".
Em 2010, lançou uma compilação chamada "Curriculum" com os melhores momentos da carreira (participações com Raimundos, Herbert Vianna, Wanderléa, Samuel Rosa, Ecos Falsos, Autoramas…) além de canções para projetos especiais.
Já tocou nos principais festivais do Brasil: Rock in Rio, Porão do Rock, Festival de Verão da Bahia, Humaitá pra Peixe e foi indicada aos prêmios mais importantes da música, como o VMB da MTV , o Prêmio Multishow – incluindo a categoria de melhor cantora- o Prêmio TIM e o Grammy Latino, com a indicação por Melhor disco de Rock.
Sua discografia conta ainda com participações nos projetos "Superfantástico", "Tributo ao Álbum Branco dos Beatles", "Beatles 69 – Abbey Road", "Rockin'n Days", "Baú do Raul", "MTV Apresenta: Autoramas Desplugado"…
Em paralelo, é de Érika Martins a voz feminina do projeto "Lafayette e os Tremendões", tendo participado com o grupo nas filmagens do longa da série "A Grande Família" e lançado o cd "As 15 Super Quentes de Lafayette & os Tremendões".
É também idealizadora e líder do comentado projeto "Chuveiro in Concert".

Érika Martins was the voice of the group Penélope in the hits "Holiday", "Namorinho de Portão", "A Mais Pedida" with the group "Raimundos" and in "Inbetween Days" with the Brazilian super-star Herbert Vianna. She made a version for this music from the group "The Cure", it was the first time the group licensed a version of one of their songs in Portuguese, and the license was granted by Robert Smith, himself.
With the group Penélope, Érika recorded 3 albuns, two of them released by Sony Music and one by Som Livre. She was also invited to play a special role in the musical projects "Superfantástico", "Baú do Raul" and "Ploc 80s", all of them released in CD and DVD by Som Livre.
With the group Penélope, Érika Martins toured the whole country and played at the Rock in Rio III Festival.
She received indications for several important music awards, such as VMB (MTV Brasil), Multishow (as Best álbum and Best Singer), TIM, and Latin Grammy as Best Brazilian Rock Album.
With the end of the group, Érika Martins decided to go solo. Her first álbum is ready and Will be released by Toca Discos, the Toca do Bandido studios, temple of the Brazilian Rock, label, trough Warner Music, in July 2009.
It was produced by Carlos Eduardo Miranda, Érikas former band fellow at Penélope, Constança Scofield and Tomas Magno. The first music "Sacarina", was at MTV Brasil site for two weeks and received good airplay in many radio stations in the country.
Érika is already travelling throughout the country, getting wonderful reviews especially for her participation at Porão do Rock Festival in Brasília/DF.
She is also the feminine voice in the Project "Lafayette and the Tremendões", performing with the group, in the film "A Grande Família".
Now she is preparing next single's videoclip "Lento", an original hit composed and performed worldwide by the mexican Julieta Venegas, who sings together with Érika in this portuguese version track, thas has also the participation of Jorge Villamizar's (Bacilos) backing vocals
