Eric Lee Beddingfield first caught the attention of the Country Music charts and song spinners with his self-titled debut album in 2007. By 2008, Beddingfield was named by New Music Weekly as one of the top ten artists to watch and three singles from the album released to country radio all entered the Music Row Chart top 40. Even without a penny of promotion behind the single, Beddingfield's "Nowhere USA" earned itself a Number 1 independent release ranking in October of 2008 on Power Source Magazine's top country chart.

Singer/songwriter Eric Lee Beddingfield hits the stage like a shot of adrenaline. His no-holds-barred attitude has been captured in his new release This Life Ain't For Everybody – 12 songs that tell the good, the bad and the ugly of life as he sees it and as he's experienced it. A dozen gems he wrote or co-wrote, which were born out of a path he took literally by accident.
Call it a silver lining, call it a speed bump in the road of life or even divine intervention. But when a career-ending injury while playing football at Georgia Southern University sidelined this Augusta native, he picked up a guitar and filled the void with his first love, country music.
Eric Lee Beddingfield was no stranger to the history and traditions of American music. He had already aced Honkytonk 101 long before ever setting foot into a college classroom. His father played in bands for years making noise on the local "chitlin' circuit" around the Southeast. Weekends spent at all night jam sessions and picking parties educated his young son in the styles and sounds of country music royalty such as Haggard, Jennings, Jones, and Cash.
With football out of the picture, the former linebacker tackled the local music scene with the tenacity of a pit bull. He formed a band whose rough-around-the-edges image and widespread reputation for partying soon became a staple on the regional college circuit. The unique blend of Southern rock and old school country driven by Beddingfield's self-penned tunes earned the band the honor of top original country act in Georgia and one of the top five unsigned acts in the national Jim Beam Talent Contest. Eric knew it was time to make the move to Music City to fulfill his dream of walking the same streets, playing the same venues and maybe even working with the same Icons he grew up studying as a boy!
After 12 years of constant touring, Eric Lee Beddingfield has carved out a name for himself throughout the Southeast as an artist who can flat out "ROCK" a country song. "ELB", as he is affectionately known, has become one of the best kept secrets in the world of country music. He's played thousands of concerts with the biggest names on the biggest stages. He has sold tens of thousands of albums comprised of his original music, writing and recording with legendary superstars such as Dolly Parton and George Jones to Southern rock guitar gods Warren Haynes (Allman Bros., Gov't Mule) and Rickey Medlocke (Lynyrd Skynyrd) just to name a few.
Beddingfield released his debut album in '07 on the Miami based label, Double Diamond. He scored three top 40 chart hits while being named the most spun independent artist on secondary radio in '08 according to BMI. "New Music Weekly" named him as one of the Top New Artists to watch. When the label closed its doors in '08, Eric didn't miss a beat. He began writing and recording for his new project. This time digging deeper than ever to create an album of hardcore, unapologetic, ass-stomping country music his fans have grown to love.
ELB teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer and world class musician, Kent Wells (Dolly Parton/Keith Whitley/Hank Williams Jr/Reba McEntire) and the two began working on the new album in the spring of '09. Later that same year he signed a management deal with Craig Campbell, a former Sony Music executive who was instrumental in launching the careers of the Dixie Chicks, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, and Miranda Lambert.
The new album This Life Ain't For Everybody will be released fall of '10 on the Nashville based, Rebel Dawg Records. It is 12 tracks of raw truth that can only be told by Eric Lee Beddingfield. The first single will be the critically acclaimed "The Gospel According to Jones", featuring none other than Beddingfield's childhood idol, the legendary George Jones.
A split-second turn of events pursuing a dream changed Eric Lee Beddingfield's life forever. The new dream it unleashed will change music fans for life.
