We can see our breath again

Can’t help but think

Were surrounded by the calloused and void

You and I always were colder than most

Now my ears

Can’t quite make out the words that stagger

From your lips

Collapse with the absence of meaning

Starved for a reason

Why blight never avoided me

Lately I’ve felt nothing at all

Consciousness has failed me

It still hurts to breathe

You changed my sight now life never seemed so dim

Lets forget were alone

I’m still held by the death in my eyes

Strung out

Tearing at the sound in my chest

At best I reek of guilt

Waiting to seep through my skin

You infect the thoughts that worm my mind

And bring aches to my insides

I’m bad with goodbyes

But reassurance comes and goes

I always said something about you left me a wreck

And the last half-decade

Stayed distant, reluctant

You left me a wreck

These eyes weren’t brightened it seems

All the wrongs around my neck

Our hearts are heavy again

We’ve forgotten what its like this side of love

No remorse this time of year

Chasing your breath

From behind your teeth
