ABOUT KRIS DE BIE:
I'm hitting the drums for about 24 years now. I did have my education the classical way and during all those past years I played in many different bands. Besides in Epycenter I also play the drums in a band called Patriarch. I love the pressure/time working in studios and get a real kick playing live. As a family man I am the proud father of two kids. When I am not occupied with recording sessions, rehearsals or live gigs, I am a drum teacher and so my time scedule is very tight. If I have the time, I am always in the mood for a few rounds of beer with some good friends or after a gig ;-) Visit my personal myspace at www.myspace.com/krisdebie or www.myspace.com/krispatriarch
ABOUT GEERT VAN DYCK:
I've been active in the Heavy Metal business since 1987. In those days I started as a 6-string guitar player in several young metal bands and I had the privilege to play my kind of music with the better musicians of my neighbourhood. In 1996 I picked up the 4-string bass guitar, in order to keep a very talented line up on the roll. I had a good feeling in playing this instrument and since then it was the perfect instrument for me. Always searching and never finding a decent bassist drove me to start playing it myself. Nowadays, I play the 5-string bass. When I am not on stage or in my home studio playing and composing some music, I am hanging out at the bar talking, laughing and singing . (with a cold one off course). Since two years I play the 5-string bass guitar in 'EPYCENTER', which is a 'Ravage Power Metal' band and back in January 2009 I also became the singer of this formation. ABOUT SIMON KERBUSCH:
In my childhood, I've been experiencing with several fantasied instruments. Not only the plastic accordian could keep me bussy for hours, but also cooking-pots and saucepans where among the victims of my percussionistic slaughterings. When I reached the age of 7, I learned some basics in music school. But with all those boring therms and stuff, I quitted. Because I still wanted to learn how to play the piano decently, I restarted music school at the age of 14. Troughout my teenager years I did what I still often do now; improvising music. But as the years passed by I learned some very usefull skills. At the beginning of my high-school years I quitted again. This time not because it was boring (not at all), but simply because there was no time left. And I'm not regretting it. At those years I learned to appreciate some heavy music. Later on, I even loved them. Nowadays, my music excist because of all the talented musicians who encouraged me by making those amazing songs. I even dare to say that it all started with metal. Once upon a time there was a metal band called. Epycenter .|--|"
ABOUT KOEN LEGRAND:
I started playing guitar at the age of 15. My goal at that moment: once been able to play a Metallica song properly. After messing around for a few years I started really practising. I tried to find a decent band and after two failed projects I was invented to join Epycenter. The more aggressive direction the band proposed, fitted me quiet well. I’m most influenced by guitarplayers who have an unique personal style. Speed and tricks are just expressive tools. Band, artists and composers like Metallica, Testament, Nevermore, Nile, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, The Cure, The Doors, Händel, Dvorâk, Smetana, Satie….have shook my musical world. I’m a dedicated songwriter who delivers a few riffs every week. I also write some lyrics, mostly disastrous themes from a more philosophical or abstract approach. Without a guitar I’m a quiet guy who likes to observe all these strange beings around him…
