This is a song that I wrote, produced, recorded, and arranged for Janelle Monáe and the Wondaland Arts Society (WAS) back in 2010. I am very passionate about what I do and what my goal is. My mission. My dream. After receiving a tweet from Janelle on twitter asking me to share my art with her, I felt extremely inspired...Alive. To know she was listening to my work. My gift. So this is what I created in hopes that she would use it for her upcoming album (at the time it was The ArchAndroid). Janelle Monáe hasn't used the song (yet) but that didn't stop her from hearing it. About a week or 2 after I posted this, Janelle, Deep Cotton (Nate 'Rocket' Wonder & Chuck Lightning), Jovian, Ladia Yates (dancer from 'Tightrope'), and a few other members of the WAS all viewed this video and shared it on their social networks. Expressing how they came even to tears...Overnight I believe it got about 5,000 views and became my highest rated and most watched video ever. I still think there's a chance Janelle Monáe will use this song...It's just a matter of when ;)
