I was born in and spent most of my early childhood in Las Vegas. My Parents were both jazz musicians, they began feeding me a diet of Jazz and soul music from my first sip of air. Oh how I miss late nights hiding under tables in jazz clubs like Hugh Hefner's Playboy Club in Lake Geneva, watching my mum pour her soul into beautiful standards and falling asleep next to my dad's drum kit as he played With all the music I digested at such a young age, I began working as a singer in my late teens and started to develop the songwriting craft around the same time. Working in Duo's, as a backing vocalist, a session singer, and in bands alike, I got a spot on a songwriting retreat on the Hawksbury River by chance and scored a song publishing deal with Warner/Chappel music at 23 whilst living in Sydney where I was working as a backing vocalist and session singer and landed a major cut with an Ausssie Artist. I fronted several Soul & R&B style bands before the pull back to Jazz where the real learning began. Honestly I feel like I have played with and worked alongside some of the best musicians in and around Melbourne where I was able to hone my skills as a jazz vocalist. Grateful for the foundations Jazz has given me, I felt the pull back to creating my own sound, whatever that is I am currently concentrating on the songwriting side of things, and working toward finally doing a record of all the stuff that comes out of me Currently residing in Byron Bay, life is pretty sweet. I have recently been lending my vocals to Talented friends in the bay area. One of those projects was the Barkin' Soul remix for the Resin Dogs's track 'Thunder' which can be heard on their new album 'More or Less". If you fancy a listen. More is on the way
