Emil Cedeño

I was born in Staten Island, New York and raised on the west coast in Puerto Rico. I love music since the early 80's and back in the days it was Disco, Electro Funk, Old School Hip Hop, Freestyle, House and Club Music. Back in 86 i was into breakdancing but i always wanted to be a DJ, so at the age of 14 i started hangin out with Brandon and Tony, 2 brothers from the hood 2 years older than me. With them i learned the skills of mixing,cutting and scratchin etc. We began doing Block parties, Junior High School Parties as mobile DJs. After they graduated from High School they joined the ARMY and i went on my own to make a living out of my DJ career. After a while i got into some DJ battles winning 2 of 4 and after gaining respect i started to spin in some of the best clubs on the South and West Coast of P.R. In 1997 i moved to San Juan P.R. where everything happens to be in the club scene after getting a job offer to play at a New Club there. After playing in different Clubs i started to send mix show demos to one of Puerto Rico's Top Radio Stations La X, so i got the job working as a DJ and Dance mix show producer. I worked there for almost 10 years, from 1998 till 2007 every Saturday Nights. At this moment i do guest spots in other national radios stations. Besides that i am club owner and promoter.
