Singer/Songwriter/Producer Em-Cee is a young woman with a beautiful, enchanting spirit, seeking to bring an alternative fusion of Hip-Hop, Soul & and Jazz to all who experience her music; something she enthusiastically describes as Ol Skool Nu Skool - The New Sound Of Hip Hop Soul.

Whilst carving out a name for herself as an Artist and
Producer, Em-Cee has recorded, written, produced &/or performed with a diverse variety of UK & US artists including LEONA LEWIS ( X Factor Winner), PAHROAHE MONCH, ANASTASIA, INCOGNITO, CARON WHEELER (SOUL II SOUL), LOOSE ENDS, ROBIN GIBB (The Bee Gees), LULU, BASEMENT JAXX, CRAIG DAVID, CHARLIE WILSON (THE GAP BAND), TERRI WALKER, JAGUAR WRIGHT, RAYMOND & CO, SHAUN ESCOFFERY & WESTLIFE to name but a few.
Whether on your iPod, radio, or on the dancefloor, Em-Cee's music invokes a feeling of nostalgia & renaissance. Infusing contemporary popular melodies, a sprinkling of Ol Skool Hip Hop & rich, soulful production, her forthcoming album, inspired by all these ingredients is sure to be a hit with fans & critics alike.
Her music has also featured on several Urban music compilations, the most recent
one being the LONDON SOUL compilation, which also features OMAR, TERRI WALKER & NATE
JAMES.
Em-Cee has spent time in the studio with super producers such as ANDRE HARRIS and VIDAL DAVIS (USHER, JILL SCOTT, FLOETRY, MUSIQ), JAMES POYSER (ERYKAH BADU, D'ANGELO, BILAL) LINSLEE CAMPBELL (MICHAEL JACKSON, BLACKSTREET, ERYKAH BADU), and JAZZY JEFF (FRESH PRINCE); all people she admires and has gained much of her knowledge of production from.
INFLUENCES
Her influences include Jay Dilla, (RIP) A Tribe Called Quest, Quincy Jones, Patrice Rushen, Pete Rock, Kim Burrell, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. "There are far too many great artists/producers over the generations to mention but I'm influenced by all styles of music; contemporary & classic, born of sincerity and passion".
All of these influences will be evident in her forthcoming Album due for release in 2012.
Previous Em-Cee releases include: I Like It, Better Daze, Negative 2 Positive, Dont Come Around and The Limited Edition Gold Vinyl Superstar EP all of which have gained this outstanding Artist/Producer critical acclaim on the UK, European and US urban music scenes. *Look out for her 'Em-Cee Vs The MC's Vol 1. Mixtape' as a precursor to her forthcoming 2012 album* She has also been supported heavily by top London Djs such as Trevor Nelson (Radio 1), Ronnie Herel (1Xtra), Steve Sutherland (Galaxy FM), Jiggs (Choice FM), Simon Schoolboy Philips (Capital FM) and her music has also received much love on Smooth FM & Solar Radio. In addition to all this her tracks have been featured for a number of consecutive weeks in the Blues & Soul Magazine Hip List chart.
