As winners of the NCBC, The Embers were awarded studio time with Sony BMG and as a result have produced their debut EP at Woodstock Studios in Melbourne, released in August 2007. They are also no strangers to playing festivals, their wide ranging appeal has seen them playThe Fall's Festival in 2005Falls Festival 2006,MS Fest 2006,The Southern Roots Festival '07,The Falmouth Festival andThe Cygnet Folk Festival.MS Fest 2008

.& indeed we did! The last gig eventuating at the Falls Festival 2008/09 at the Village Arts stage! At the end of this era people departed, moved and progressed to new phases and adventures in their life.
However, a slow simmering in the hearts, souls and minds of original members Michael Attard and Katy Humphries saw the eventual flickering flame of the Embers again in 2011. As before life got in the way, and a number of different line-ups of exceptionally talented musicians came and went before the current consciousness of the new Embers era was ready to be unleashed. This time is now. 2012 will see new songs embracing the essence of The Embers' myriad, genre crossing, melting-pot of sound, with a solid groove, roots and funk base.We can't wait!!!!
