The band start their activities in Barcelona in 2000 when members from Las Sombras decide to join forces and found a new band, Embellish. A new project and new blood which quickly develops a bunch of good songs and demos. The most successful demo is "Living" which is featured on Carlos Pina's "El Paraíso de Radio 3", one of the most well-known and respected Spanish National radio shows. The band start an extensive tour through Catalonia. The result can be listened to on "Becalmed Pain", their new demo released in 2002. Numerous shows are played in this period of time. Especially important is the one featured by Katatonia and Finntroll in Madrid 2003.
In June 2004, the band decides to get into the studio to record the "Black tears and deep." an EP for exclusive promotional purposes. The result of this attracts the attention of some record labels and has excellent reviews. Finally the band gets to sign a contract with GOI MUSIC and in 2006 releases the album "Black Tears and deep songs for lost lovers". It gets an incredible feedback despite the total lack of promotional and distributional support from their label. The album is recorded in AX studios in Barcelona and is masterized by the great Mika Jussila in Finnvox Studios.
After a tour throughout the country as headliners, and playing their Spanish shows with bands like Katatonia, Finntroll, Leave's Eyes, Entwine, Negative, Charon, To/Die/For, Negative, Atrocity… Embellish leave their old label and decide to sign with Erzsebet Records, sub-label of the well- known Basque distributor Indar productions for the re-issue of their debut album, thanks to the amazing demand for this album, and the fact that it is almost impossible to get hold of a copy of it due to the disastrous work of their previous label.
Two new songs are recorded for this new edition, a beautiful piano version of "Black Tears and Deep" song and a "I don't believe in you" remix also including their impressive "Falling" videoclip, directed by the filmmaker Tinieblas Gonzalez. Besides, the album contains a totally new design.
At present, they are recording what will be their second studio album "Blindead" wich will be released in early September of 2012 after their new recording contract with Crystal Eyes Records.

En el año 2000 David Gohe (voz) y Miguel Castilla (guitarra) componentes originarios de un proyecto anterior desde 1996 deciden continuar juntos y formar lo que hoy en día se presenta bajo el nombre de EMBELLISH .
La nueva banda se formó bajo el nombre inicial de Las Sombras.
Ernesto y Marc Martin que se unen a sus filas.
Tras varios conciertos a nivel nacional deciden grabar su primera Demo "Living" compuesta por cuatro temas. La respuesta tanto por parte de la crítica como por el público en general fue muy buena llegando a sonar en el programa de radio "El Paraíso de Radio3" que presenta y dirige Carlos Pina.
Tras dos años en los que el grupo no cesó de dar actuaciones por todos los rincones de Cataluña, en el año 2002 crea sus propios estudios de grabación y decide grabar su segunda Demo. En un principio el título de este trabajo debía llevar el nombre de Las Sombras -" Embellish" , pero finalmente debido a problemas legales se cambió el nombre de Las Sombras por el de EMBELLISH . "Becalmed Pain" fue el título elegido para dar presentación a los temas nuevos.
El concepto y significado de Embellish proviene de un extracto del tema "The Cry of the Angels" incluido en Becalmed Pain, que transmitía claramente la temática de la banda. "Becalmed Pain you have seen Embellish, with roses the earth of my grave.("Encalmado dolor, tu has visto embellecer con rosas la tierra de mi tumba."). Ese mismo año la banda vuelve a actuar presentando su nuevo trabajo y nueva formación bajo los escenarios.
Durante ese periodo de cambios y conciertos cabe destacar la actuación en Abril del 2003 en la sala Caracol de Madrid como teloneros de la gira Europea de Finntroll y Katatonia .
Ese mismo año el grupo decide apostar fuerte e invertir en la grabación de un primer disco para venderlo de cara a las discográficas. Durante ese periodo estuvo trabajando duramente en la composición de nuevos temas de los cuales se editaron cuatro temas en formato EP para uso exclusivamente promocional bajo el nombre de "Black Tears and Deep Songs for Lost Lovers ep", un nombre muy adecuado para entender el concepto del disco.
Dos meses más tarde se enviaron unos cd's promocionales a diversos sellos, donde finalmente Embellish firma un contrato discográfico de 3 álbumes con la discográfica GOI Music. A mediados de Octubre el album vio la luz a nivel nacional e internacional, su primer álbum debut "Black Tears and Deep Songs for Lost Lovers" grabado de nuevo y producido en los AX studios de Barcelona y masterizado por Mika Jussila (HIM, The 69 Eyes, Entwine, Sentenced.) en los Finnvox studios en Finlandia.
Mas adelante siguió un extenso tour que les hizo actuar junto a bandas tan reconocidas como:
Entwine, Leaves Eyes, Charon, Atrocity, To Die For, Negative, Savia, Skizoo, Negative, The 69 Eyes etc etc etc…
Tras esa primera edición se decidió cambiar de discografica y fichar con Erzeberth records editando una segunda edición de su primer album que además incluiría 2 bonus tracks y el video de su primer single "Falling" grabado junto al director Tinieblas Gonzalez.
Tras cuatro años de conciertos y composiciones nuevas, la banda decide editar un nuevo trabajo en formato EP limitado a través de su discografica titulado "Black tears Unnplugged" donde se recogen cuatro piezas de su album debut en formato acústico y utilizando bases sampleadas de fondo.
A mediados del 2011 Embellish entra al estudio para grabar su segundo album de nuevo en los Ax studios. Una vez finalizada la grabación un nuevo componente Gonzalo Moldes, substituye al hasta la fecha batería de Embellish desde el 2004 Bud (Kop, Romanthica)
Actualmente la banda editara su esperado segundo largo trabajo llamado ¨Blindead" de la mano del sello discografico Crystal Eyes Records a principios de Septiembre del 2012.
