Elliot is a Texas native hailing from Houston. He got into drumming one fateful day in middle school when he forgot the required dental records necessary to play a brass or woodwind instrument. After moving with his family to Buffalo, NY, Elliot cut his teeth playing in bands, practicing in the basement and performing at local venues. While attending college on Staten Island, he was introduced to Ingrid Michaelson. The day before Ingrid recorded her album Slow the Rain, her previous drummer dropped out of the project and Elliot was asked to replace him.
In addition to Ingrid, Elliot is often called upon to work with a long list of talented artists. He is the go to guy for Jenny Owen Youngs, Dan Romer, Bess Rogers, Allie Moss, Lelia Broussard, Lauren Zettler and Ricky Valente. He has had the honor of playing with Regina Spektor, Greg Laswell, Jim Bianco, The Woes, April Smith, Mieka Pauley, Ashley Dupre, Betsie Larkin, Hayley Taylor, Charlie Ward, Anya Marina, Nick Howard, Rachel Platten, Alexa Wilkinson, Nell Bryden, Amy Regan, Anna Rose, and Josh Albright.
Elliot has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The CBS Early Show and others.
In 2010, Elliot was honored to be voted 1 Up and Coming Drummer in the Modern Drummer Magazine's Reader's Poll.
Elliot lives in Brooklyn, NY where he is always searching for the perfect cafe mocha, dreams of owning a pet bulldog and spends his free time working on his side project The Healthy Musician.
