Influenced by a family of music lovers. Mostly by his father Don Armando Conde.Being from Zacatecas Mexico, Antonio Aguilar was the first singer of Banda that Gerardo Sanchez Conde better known as "EL LINCE DE LA SIERRA" listen to as a young boy.Later on Don Armando gave Gerardo a little taste of norteno music. LOS TIGRES DEL NORTE were played often at family get-togethers and on a daily basis at the Conde household. For the most part Antonio Aguilar and Los Tigres Del Norte were the first mainstream artists in El Lince De La Sierra's musical life.Later on at the age of 8 years old, Gerardo gets a taste of a sound which in those days was considered underground. CHALINO SANCHEZ was introduced to him by a bootleg cassette he bought in the street, 13 exitos de CHALINO SANCHEZ was the title:Raymundo Chaidez,Dinastia de los Ochoa, and last but not least El Lince De La Sierra's most favorite corrido of all time,Candido Rodriguez. At age 12 in the city of PARAMOUNT CA a man native to TIERRA GENEROSA NAYARIT, Don Luis Viera (r.i.p.) father of the late singer Saul Viera "El Gavilancillo" hands Don Armando and Gerardo's older brother Armando Sanchez El Gavilancillo's first musical production: Saul Viera "El Gavilancillo" con banda sinaloense. At this point El Lince has four musical influences that will be a part of his life for ever.Till this day his thirst of music keeps growing stronger. Many years pass by and finally Gerardo Sanchez Conde rips open his voice in a recording studio in East L.A. A member of "Los 4 De Arranque" Gerardo joins Saul Vicuna"El Gran Centenario",Luis Suarez"El Zeta" and Cesar Abarca"El Guero" in a musical production. The first song El Lince De La Sierra ever recorded was "Maquina 501" and the rest is history!
