“My heart’s in country music.”

Elizabeth Shea is a born star—possessing the rare combination of beautiful voice, graceful charm, and gorgeous looks, made even more striking by ravishing red hair. Her uplifting spirit is unmistakable, shining brilliantly onstage and off.

A songwriter since age 15, today Elizabeth has defined her own traditional Country style. Self assured and confident, she says, “I’m more comfortable than I have ever been, not just musically, but with who I am and what I want to show to the world.”

With songs based on real life experiences, Elizabeth uses music to sort through feelings and events. “Every song I write is either true to me or someone I know really well,” she explains. “I write to understand what’s at my core, and to explore what’s in my heart of hearts.” Elizabeth strives to make Country music that will enrich people’s lives. She elaborates, “I want my music to be inspiring and real. I hope it moves you.”

Shortly after penning her first song, Elizabeth recorded the demo and signed a publishing deal. “I fell in love with the studio and the process of watching the songs come to life,” she recalls. Two years later she signed with Giant Records, but the label closed not long after.

However, the Hendersonville native’s journey as an entertainer had begun years earlier. At age two a talent agent noticed Elizabeth’s radiance and said that her red hair and charisma made her perfect for commercials. She was in a local drug store spot that same year. From then on, Elizabeth was a show stopper in the making—singing, dancing and acting anytime she was given the opportunity. Steeped in the Country tradition, at age six Elizabeth and her brother were invited to be the first children to perform in the shows at Opryland theme park. She never tired of the spotlight, sometimes playing in five productions a day. “I loved every minute of it,” she says. “That’s where I fell in love with the stage and my parents couldn't peel me off of it.”

By age 12 she was opening for Lee Greenwood in Branson, Missouri and joining him on a duet. Elizabeth went on a few years later to tour as a background singer and dancer on Martina McBride’s Joy of Christmas tour. These artists and experiences had a profound impact on the developing singer, who also counts Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, and Clint Black as musical influences. As a child and teen, Elizabeth honed her acting talent by performing in musicals at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. She also garnered parts in films October Sky and John Grisham's A Painted House, as well as in music videos such as Trace Adkins’ recent No. 1 “Ladies Love Country Boys.”

Since moving to Los Angeles with husband Brandon, Elizabeth has continued singing and writing, even performing for the late President and Mrs. Ford, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gates. The thrill of the spotlight never wanes she says. “I love singing and performing so much I want to do it for the rest of my life.” The compassionate songstress also wants her music to touch people, particularly other women. “I want to speak to women; to say things they aren’t able to put into words.” Most importantly she adds, “I want to help women be confident and value themselves. I love singing and writing country music more than anything else. It speaks to me and I hope it will speak to you, too.”

This song is written for Katherine Wolf, a dear friend of mine who is recovering from an AVM Rupture (stroke) that almost took her life in April. I've chosen to sell the song to help raise money for some of Katherine's medical bills. Please consider adding this song to your music collection! Every little bit helps!
